Divisions to host middle-school science

Hands-on science and technology will be offered to middle-school girls by LCCC's divisions of Science and Mathematics and Engineering.
The divisions will again offer the Young Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Summer Camp. The event is for girls entering grades 6, 7 and 8.
The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 31-Aug. 11. The cost is $100 per student. The fee includes a t-shirt and fee waivers are available, according to event organizers.
Students will participate in hands-on science activities; team building exercises; welding, electronic fieldtrips; designing, building and programming Lego robots, and much more during this two-week camp.
