A little to the left, and a little to the right, tweaking and rearranging each item until they were just right. Instructor for Crafts as Studio Art and Art for Elementary Education, Marge Widmar arranged the work by her students by color, texture, and size, Nov. 22.
One of Widmar's students, Megan Groh made a basket out of natural materials. Other students made purses, scarves, and other items.
Other works by Widmar's Craft Studio Art class were on display at the Avon Lake Public Library from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1. The display at the library included altered books.
Two sections of Crafts as Studio Art will be offered in Spring 2007.
