All we ever hear around campus nowadays is "Dan this" and "Dan that." But does anyone truly know what he is up to?
No one does, except for Dan Barnicle. You may recognize this name as the man who is petitioning to get his spot back on Student Senate after resigning last month.
Nothing is known for certain now, but what is known is that Dan Barnicle has made posts about different people in the MySpace forums. About recent events, he said, "I am making a big deal out of this because I can! It's entertainment for me and a richly rewarding experience to rally students into taking interest in the college while focusing their attention on some real issues along the way."
Some of these posts have led to verbal confrontations between Barnicle and the persons who he was posting about. Right now, there are two restraining orders filed on behalf of Dan Barnicle because of these incidents. Stories differ on what really happened in the courtyard during these confrontations.
Barnicle's posts on Myspace.com are strikingly similar to a post he had made almost four years ago in a Pay Pal forum. One post stated he had "captured the IP addresses" of all computers used to make negative comments about him on his online petition. He then elaborates in other Myspace posts as saying "he has a team of lawyers assembled through the Cleveland Bar Association to sue LCCC for libel, slander, defamation of character, and a host of other infringements on my inalienable rights, if administration or anyone else for that matter interferes with the petition to remove all senators and reinstate Dan Barnicle as President of the Student Senate at LCCC."
This sounds like a post he made in a Pay Pal forum complaining about an account that had been closed by the company. In it, he stated that he would file police reports, file reports with the Better Business Bureau in two different states, and file reports with four different federal agencies. He said, "I am prepared and committed to take any and all necessary actions against you until you comply with my simple request."

Interesting story, I have followed this a while. LCCC sounds like a different campus than the University of Akron Wayne College. What exactly started this whole affair?
