Here's one for the puppies and dogs. Yvonne Stella a sports and fitness management student at Lorain County Community College will be selling sunglasses on May 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in College Center to support Elita, an animal rescue agency. With the proceeds from the fundraiser, Elita wants to build a rehabilitation center in North Ridgeville to help place abused and abandoned dogs and puppies.
Stella's son, Chuck Stella and his friend, Trish Mills, have been involved with Elita for the past year. According to Mrs.Stella, her children have a passion for animals, tame and wild. Wanting to help her son, Mrs. Stella became involved with Elita.
Mrs. Stella thought that the college would be a good venue for this fundraiser because she felt that students would care about animal welfare.
LCCC community members wanting to make a donation may do so at the fundraiser or at any First Merit care of Elita.
