The dim lit halls of Lorain County Community College became fodder for scandal during the recent Sept. 4th blackout.
According to an eye-witness report, two male students were allegedly caught engaged in sexual activity in a pitch black bathroom located in the Physical and Social Science building.
Collegian Reporter Joe Wilbert was searching for an accessible restroom when he made the shocking discovery. With the assistance of a lighter, Wilbert entered the darkened restroom and "walked in on two men having intercourse".
Although not widely reported, LCCC campus is no stranger to incidents involving lewd conduct.
A campus security log turned up multiple incident reports involving lewd and deviant behavior on campus.
Among some of the more common cases, the parking lot has been used for romantic getaways, and the library computers have been repeatedly used as less than private viewing booths for pornography.
Students who violate the student conduct policy are reported to the Dean of Admissions and face possible suspension or expulsion.
Depending on the severity of the violation, Campus Security notifies the authorities.
"…any [violation] that is criminal in nature we will contact the police department," said Campus Security Officer David Hatcher.
