If Jim Powers, LCCC Special Activities Coordinator, has anything to say about it, Lorain County Community College will be getting its first bowling club starting Oct. 29.

Even though the flyer says that the club will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, Powers said, "The club may meet once or twice a week, but this will be totally determined by the club members." The Bowling Club will meet at Brunswick Center Ridge Lanes from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Powers plans to start the club "as more of a social club at first." There may be opportunities for competitive bowling, " . . . depending on what the interest level is"

When asked about the response so far, Powers said, "It is coming in slowly, only six responses. We are hoping to get more when the bowling class gets started and we can get the word out more."

Once the club gets started, the club members will decide whether they will meet beyond this semester.

For more information, or to express interest in joining, contact Jim Powers at either (440)-366-7652 or at jpowers@lorainccc.edu.
