Lorain County Community College will host best selling author, and autistic savant
Daniel Tammett on Oct.29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Stocker Center Theater.
An autistic savant is defined as a person with autism who has a special skill. In Tammett's case, his skill is an amazing memory.
Tammett has written two books and appeared on "The David Lettermen Show" and "60 Minutes."
Nicknamed the Brain Man, he can recite Pi to 22,114 decimal places.
Tammet attributes his unique memory recall to suffering from epilepsy as a child.
The event will begin at 6:30 with Tammett speaking at 7p.m. with a reception following.
