One of the most popular games of the decade, the Guitar Hero series has taken the United States by storm. The newest release, Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock, has proven to be another valuable addition to this family of games.
Taking advantage of this mass appeal, The LCCC Anime Society is hosting a Guitar Hero 3 tournament on Friday, December 7 in order to raise money for their event in joint effort with the Role Players Association, "Shinbokucon" in April of next year.
This will be the first year of a Guitar Hero Tournament, but the second year of this Shinbokucon hosted on campus. This convention will feature new series and live action films from Japan, Live action role playing, video games, video game tournaments, and Dance Dance Revolution. Boasting contests and a dance, Shinbokucon promises to be a good time for anyone interested in these activities, and The Anime Society is hoping attending this Guitar Hero tournament will gather some interest for it.
The tournament is on December 7 from 11:00-1:00, and costs $5. If you're interested in attending, email theanimesociety@gmail.com. For more information on Shinbokucon, visit the website at www.wickedwithin.com.
