The Lorain County Community College Stocker Center Main Theater will become the place to see a movie as it prepares to host four films in the upcoming month.
Beginning on Feb. 29, the Stocker Center will be playing four different films lasting throughout the year.
The films include the Academy Award nominated "In The Valley of Elah," "Outsourced," the Academy Award winning "The Lives of Others," and "Pete Seeger: The Power of Song."
"In The Valley of Elah," (Feb. 29) starring Tommy Lee Jones, Susan Sarandon, and Charlize Theron, was nominated in 2007 for an Academy Award. The film tells the story of war veteran Hank Deerfield, his wife Joan, and the search for their son Mike, a soldier who recently returned from Iraq who has mysteriously gone missing.
"Outsourced," a 2006 comedy, has won numerous awards, and features a manager of a customer call center company that gets outsourced to India. According to "Variety," Ken Kwapis of "The Office," has reportedly been tapped by NBC to create a television pilot for a potential spin-off of the film.
The Academy Award-winning German film, "The Lives of Others," (March 21) and "Pete Seeger: The Power of Song" (April 4) will finish out the upcoming month of films being shown at the Stocker Center.
Films will also continue to be shown throughout the year at the Stocker Center. As a plus, the price of admission will only be $5.
